What have you done this term?

This term we have accomplished alot this term. We got our computer working and are currently customizing it to how we like it and making it our own so alec can take it home beucase I have more computers than I know what to do with at home.

We also learned alot about how to fix little problems in ubuntu and little tweaks to make our computer ours.

What was the biggest challenge for you this term?

We didnt really have to many big challenges this term. Our main problem was that we couldnt get an eithernet cable to work. Then our video card fried or decided not to work with our compter so I had to hijack a video card out of one of the "broken" computers from the big pile in the corner of the room. That was the only real problems that we had to overcome.

What have you learned that could be useful outside of school?

I have not learned much so far seeing as how I already know alot about computers and help out people outside of class. I also am known as the computer person at work besides our it guy who went to college for it and is the head of it. But I do think this will help somewhere eventually.

Of the things you have done this term, what would you like to do more of?

I would to most like to do more designing of logos and vinyl. Mainly because I do alot of digital designing for people already for like websites and logos for companys. I have designed websites so that is kinda interesting to me

Briefly describe the project:This week I was trying to customize my computer to the fullest. I tested the speed and was not very pleased. I was messing around with digital backgrounds

We couldnt get our printer to work at first

we had no main problems, just small things

What have you accomplished this week?

Well we had to go though one computer to get our computer to work. But we finally got one that works andit is up and running

What problems have you overcome this week?

Our computer had a hardrive error and we opted to chose a new computer instead of swaping out the hardrive

What are the most significant problems you face at this time? What will you do to meet these problems? We currently have no majopr porblems.

What materials or information do you need? How do you plan on getting these materials or information? I think were all set for now. Were just exploring ubuntu and its features.

Briefly describe the project: Today we finished up our poster and put the finishing touches on it. I Had to do cooling and all the different types of cooling. I did different types if water cooling and fan case cooling. I explained the case fans and cpu fans and what they did and how they worked. I didnt have to do much research because I have a good grasp on computers and their parts and components.

What have you accomplished this week?- I have completly finished my project and am ready for the next project.I just had to pull together some info and throw it on a poster to make it look nice. I also gave my presentation well and didnt have any slip ups although I did not use my paper to give the presentation.

What problems have you overcome this week?- I was a little lazy i the beging of the week so didnt get much done. Those were the only problems that I had to overcome this week. The project didnt give me any problems what so ever.

What are the most significant problems you face at this time? What will you do to meet these problems?- I didnt face any problems and hopefully will not face any in the future.

What materials or information do you need? How do you plan on getting these materials or information- I currently dont need any info at this time. But I wouldnt mind learing even more about water cooling. I have been looking around at kits and what not
